Wendy’s hideaway is just a stone’s throw away from her house, which was the old gardener’s lodge to a country mansion in Two Dales near Matlock. “Moving to Derbyshire has been the best thing and I think being able to write in such a lovely setting has definitely helped me.” She wanted to bring her children up in the country and her hubby, a political consultant at Westminster, adores Derby County. Moving to Derbyshire ticks a lot of boxes for Wendy, who is celebrating the launch of her latest book, Last of the Summer Moet.
